Professional career

Worked as a research assistant in the Istanbul Technical University between 1988 and 1990.

Joined the Assurance and Advisory Business Services (AABS) in Andersen Istanbul office in 1990.
Promoted to Assurance Manager in 1995.

Led the Andersen office in Izmir between 1996 and 1999.

Moved to Romania in 1999 as the Head of Assurance in the Andersen office in Bucharest for a
one-year appointment.

Promoted to Assurance Partner in Andersen Turkey in 2000.

Appointed as the Head of Assurance in Andersen Turkey in 2001. Led the Andersen Turkey
Assurance practice until August 2002 when he joined EY.

Appointed as the EY Turkey Markets Leader in 2005. Coordinated all market activities and service
line go-to-market strategy until 2008. Relied on cross-selling and integrated solutions as an
alternative to silo-based approach.

Served as the EY Telecommunications Sector Leader in the South East Europe (SEE) Region
between 2005 and 2008.

Re-joined the EY Turkey Markets Board in 2012 as a Partner responsible for PMM, IPO and the
Telecommunications sector.

Appointed as the Growth Markets/Private Leader and Family Business Services Leader in the
CESA Region in 2012.

Appointed as the Country Managing Partner in 2016.

He is the GCSP of Haci Omer Sabanci Holding and Turk Telekomunikasyon A.S.

Specific Growth Markets/Private achievements

Built the regional Family Business network from scratch and helped country teams produce various
results since 2013 (specific client engagements in three countries, FB surveys in two countries, FB
yearbooks in two countries, FB Award of Excellence in two countries, 15% attendance share in the
EY NextGen Academy).

Engaged clients in Turkey and won several Family Business engagements.

Owned several major client events and regional meetings of the EY Family Business Leaders since
2013.

Supported the deployment of the EY Growth Navigator™ across the Region (more than 50 activated
users and nearly 200 clients sessions since 2015).

Improved the communication with EMEIA and Global Growth Markets/Private teams and increased
the overall visibility of the CESA Region in the Growth Markets/Private organization.

Oversaw the deployment of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ (EOY) program across the region.

Relaunched and rebranded the EOY program in Turkey.
