Başak Vardar, who has been serving as the CEO of Deloitte Turkey since June 2020, is also a
member of the Deloitte DCE Executive Committee. She has specialized in the field of
corporate finance throughout her career and was the leader of Deloitte Turkey Financial
Advisory department prior to her current position. Vardar, who started her career in the field
of audit, worked in various managerial roles at Andersen and EY for 11 years before joining
Deloitte Turkey in 2007 as the financial advisory partner for mergers and acquisitions. She
managed sales, acquisitions, mergers, privatization, restructuring and valuation projects for
many large-scale investors and family businesses operating in different sectors, primarily
consumer products, energy, manufacturing and services. A member of TÜSİAD and YASED,
Vardar is a graduate of Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration.
