Neyran Bahadırlı is a graduate of Boğaziçi University's Economics department. After receiving her
MBA from UVA Darden School of Business in the United States, she worked in the TMT (Technology,
Media, and Telecommunications) Investment Banking team at Merrill Lynch London office. She
continued her career at the online communications company Skype in London. After a decade of
experience abroad, she returned to Istanbul and was appointed as the General Manager of Uber
Turkey. She also manages Uber Israel and Malta, along with Turkey. Uber, one of the world’s most
popular technology apps, continues its operations in Turkey with Uber Taxi and Uber Courier. In
2022, more than 33,000 taxi drivers in Turkey, mainly in Istanbul, used Uber, and the app was
opened 25 million times throughout the year to request a ride. The number of Uber app downloads
in Turkey has reached 6.0 million, mostly in Istanbul. Uber Taxis are available in Istanbul, Ankara,
Izmir, Antalya, and Adana, and Uber Courier is available in Istanbul as of today.
