Born in 1943 in Kilis, Mr.ÇAYCI, M.Sc. Metallurgical Engineer, completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University in 1967. Between 1967 and 1973 he worked as  Technical Chief at  Rabak Elektrolitik Bakır Mamulleri A.Ş. In 1974 he joined Sarkuysan Elektrolitik Bakır Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. where he held executive positions and was assigned as the CEO of the company in 1985. He was appointed as a member of the Board in  Sarkuysan A.Ş. in 1995, and in 2011, besides his CEO position, he became the Chairman of the Board and he continues as Chairman of Sarkuysan A.Ş. since 2015.

He is also Chairman of the Board of subsidiaries and the affiliated companies of Sarkuysan such as;

BEKTAŞ A.Ş.,

He is also an active member of various business associations which are TURK TRADE (as chairman of the board since 2016); KOSANO(Kocaeli Chamber of Industry), DEIK (Turkey-USA business council),etc..

Mr. Hayrettin ÇAYCI is married with two children. He speaks English and German.
