Barış Hocaoğlu, who started his professional career at Halk Bank in 1995, later worked at Ottoman Bank. Between 2000 and 2009, he held various positions at Global Menkul Değerler, and he was appointed as the General Manager of lobal Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş. in 2009. Following the transfer of the majority interest of the company from 2012, he became the General Manager of AZ Global Portfolio, which is a partnership between Azimut-Global and stayed on duty until 2015. As of the beginning of 2015, after the company strategically withdrew from the partnership, Barış Hocaoğlu established Actus Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş. under Global Yatırım Holding as well, and following the merger of the said company with İstanbul Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş., he continues to serve as the General Manager in the new entity. He also serves as an Investment Committee Member in venture capital funds established by İstanbul Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.

Barış Hocaoğlu graduated from Ankara University, Department of International Relations, Faculty of Political Sciences, and he has particularly specialized in portfolio management strategies and product design.
