Anabel Díaz

Vice President, RGM EMEA Mobility of Uber

Anabel Díaz (Spain, 1975) joined Uber in May 2019, to lead the Central Operations team across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She currently holds the role of Uber Vice President, RGM EMEA Mobility, overseeing Uber’s mobility businesses across 40 markets.

Anabel holds a Master in Computer Engineering from University of Murcia, and an Executive MBA from Insead. She has more than two decades of experience in operations, logistics and commercial management in large global organizations, including General Electric and SABIC.

In addition to operational excellence, innovation and business profitability, Anabel has always prioritized building and developing diverse and talented teams. She is a strong supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion, and she has promoted several initiatives at Uber to build a better place to work. She is the executive sponsor of the “Women@Uber” employee group, and gets involved in several other initiatives, namely to increase women driver representation on the Uber platform.

Anabel is also one of the main drivers of Uber's sustainability strategy - one of Anabel’s current priorities is to accelerate the journey to electric vehicles, cementing Uber’s position as a leader in sustainable mobility.

Anabel is a member of several boards of directors, and actively participates in promoting entrepreneurship initiatives. She has been widely recognized as an influential personality for her contributions to the industry and society - she was included in the TOP100 Women in Spain in 2022, has been part of Forbes list of the 100 Most Influential Women in Spain since 2022, and has been recognized by Merca2 as one of the Top 20 most influential business people in Spain in 2023.
